This Years Crop of Angels

It's that time of year again. Every year when they arrive they are a little different.

This year I discovered that it is better to make the hands and faces first, back them and they incorporate them in the rest of the angel. I used a little loop of 24 gage gold filled wire to make the hanging loop at the top of the hallow. It is cooked right in so it can't come out. This was problem in the past.

As in the past all the angels are a little different. So far this is the my favourite - good thing that they are not like children so I have the luxury of choosing favourites.

Back Yard Inspiration

I am glad to be home with my garden. It is raining outside (very wet coast) and the sun is supposed to be back for the weekend. I will be at the Trout Lake Market this Saturday, second to last time for the season... Time for studio and the run up to the winter holidays.

I am looking forward to designing new patterns. Well not exactly designing but stealing with both hands from mother nature. These are ginkgo leaves from the backyard and my polymer clay interpretation. In the fall the tree turns a brilliant yellow and I will make autumn leaves.

Filberg

Some of the many craft tents. We are at the very end of the avenue.

In my tent.

Where we stayed. Far from the madding crowd.

A great weekend. Lots learned. Lots heard. Just terrific.
