A Cold Day in July

Knitting needles
Yesterday at the Ladner Village Market I kept my socks, and everything else on. So cold for July! Good for Carmen and her wool hats not so good for the guy selling icy drinks. The band, Rumba Acalzada kept me warm by making me dancing around my stall.  At about 2:00 the sun came out and the markets got busier. Life as a vendor at outdoor markets is really at the mercy of the weather. In two weeks I will be a Filberg Festival in Comox on Vancouver Island. This is my summer’s big event – I would cross my fingers but I have lots to do before then and crossed fingers will not speed me up. This is a great festival. Come and visit me and Jennifer Harwood , my talented next-tent neighbour.
