Before the Cut

Obi pattern before the cut.
I spent a short time at the studio this week. (A short time when my son or husband manned my table at Granville Island - Thank you.) I did a clean up of the little bits of flower and leaf canes that were hanging around my table. I like to set them on a red back ground because it reminds me on a kimono obi. Such improbable juxtaposition of colours but some how it seems to work.  I almost hate to cut it up the sheet for lockets and barrettes.
